16th – 20th May; a sneak peak of 22 designer-makers from our Cheltenham exhibition will be on display at Craft Central, Clerkenwell. Discover exceptional contemporary furniture makers from across the UK that are usually hidden from view.
This selling exhibition of bespoke furniture, with selected work from other disciplines such as jewellery and glass, offers a glimpse into 22 small, outstanding, yet often overlooked workshops of master craftsmen and women from Yorkshire to Cornwall and the Isle of Wight.
Each piece has a unique story from its conception through to its final completion. The craftsman or woman making the piece has also designed it, their inspiration and passion is embedded within it and their skills, that have taken them a lifetime to develop, make it a reality.
Every year Celebration of Craftsmanship & Design scours the country for the best designer-makers of contemporary furniture and other disciplines to exhibit at our headline exhibition in Cheltenham. This year we are delighted to bring a fabulous selection of these pieces to Clerkenwell to give you a glimpse into these small, often overlooked workshops.
We are pleased to be able to display the work of 22 craftsmen and women at Crafts Central’s Gallery in Clerkenwell. All of the work will be for sale, and every exhibitor can be commissioned to make a piece especially for you.

All of our exhibitors will be present to discuss their work, the inspiration behind it, how it was made and why commissioning a master craftsman or woman is so much more enjoyable, interesting and fulfilling than simply buying something off the shelf.
CCD SELECTION will be held at Craft Central Gallery. Craft Central is a unique charity working to maintain and promote fine craft and design skills in the heart of London’s historic community of Clerkenwell.
